our story

Why we started.

A few years ago, our family made the decision to spend a year travelling around Australia.
The plan was simple. The paperwork was not.

Enrolling in home education meant facing a wall of uncertainty. Queensland Home Education told us we needed an "education program" - but what did that actually mean? Distance education was one option, but it was expensive, structured around a fixed timetable, and not built for the kind of flexibility a year on the road required. It also wasn't built for our child with ADHD and dyslexia.

So we built our own. We worked through the curriculum requirements, structured a year of learning aligned to the Australian Curriculum, and made sure our kids would return to mainstream school without missing a beat. It worked.

Travelling alongside us were friends who had chosen distance education - not because they wanted to, but because applying for home education felt too daunting.

"They would have chosen home education. They just needed a way in."

Apply-ED is the resource we wished had existed. A guided way for any Australian family to create a structured, highly personalised, curriculum-aligned home education program - ready to submit as part of your state registration application.

No blank pages. No subscription traps. No submission on your behalf. We're not educators or a registration body - just an Australian family who went through the process and built the tool we needed at the time. You remain in control of your family's education.
